We like to think of these tables as an open source product.

Make Your Own Top
While we’re more than happy to sell you any of the tops we offer, we’d also encourage you to make your own.
Ideas we’ve seen include butcher block, tile, concrete, (and maybe put everybody’s hand prints in it, or not), bamboo, rubber, mosaic, resin, old wood doors, plastic laminate, granite, mahjong tiles, marble, carbon fiber. The list is endless.
Tops with corporate logos are easy enough for us to add to your branding application.
We also have access to porcelain enamel tops if you would like to explore that option.
We can also powder coat tops either in a solid color or as your own pattern or design.
Wood Tops
If you want to try some woods we don’t show, try your local woodworker. It’s always fun to use and support the local talent in your area. Old barn wood, flooring, siding and even exotic woods will give you a unique top.
Stain patterns are fun. While it may take some time taping off, the end result can be exquisite.
Painted wood can be fun, too. The checkerboard on the top shown was done using inks diluted 50% to ensure the grain of the wood would show through. Try doing a test first to make sure it’s the look you want. Photo shows inks applied in 1, 2 and 3 coats to assess the opacity of the inks.
Glass Tops
Glass tops are exceptionally handsome on these tables, showing a stunning view of the inner workings of the gears. We offer a bronzed glass but there are other glass companies out there that offer some quite exotic glass.
Check out the links below for some great glass options.

It is likely less expensive for you to order the glass top locally rather than us ship you one but we’ll be happy to do so if you want a one stop shopping experience.
Should you order your own top from a local glass company, make sure you order your glass tempered or shatterproof. We use 3/8” (.375) thickness. You might also have the edges polished or and corners rounded so they’re not sharp. If you do choose to go with your glass top we’ll be happy to send you the rubber bumpers we use in the countersunk holes to support the glass. The size for a glass top would be what is listed on the table description, 3' x 6',and 3' x3'. We don't recommend a 4'x6' glass top.
You could add some vinyl art to a glass top for a fun look. When you’re tired of it, peel it off and do something else.
CUSTOM FRAME COLORS
Custom colors and finishes for the steel frame are also welcome. We don’t recommend wrapping only because of the many obstacles to be cut around.
Please contact us to discussed what you have in mind.
